Which refurb IMAC model is the better bang for the buck maching if I am not too concerned with graphics.. I am assuming the earlier model I7 is correct?

With the i5 you get faster ram and better graphics. The i7 you get a better processor. I would say it depends on what you are going to use it for. If you do gaming I would get the i5.
 
I dont really game at all. I do a lot of Parallels work on Windows and programming,etc.
 
I wont see too much of a difference in speed due to the slower memory correct?
