Okay, so Recently, I've noticed that my iMac will never shut down. Literally NEVER. Usually, before I go out anywhere, I check for updates and let it reboot. So 2 Days ago, I did that. Came back 4 (FOUR) Hours later and it was STILL Shutting down.
I have a Late 2008 Mac, with 4GB of RAM 2.66GHz, and it's Running Mac OS X Lion. Also, Last night I was on Xbox. I started playing Xbox at maybe around 10:30, and I got off at 11:45. During that whole time, my mac was trying to shut down. So that's 1 Hour 15 Minutes.
Then, I went to bed and let it shut down while I slept. I woke up at 8:45 in the morning. So that's 9 hours + 1 hour 15 Minutes = 10 Hours and 15 Minutes.
10 HOURS AND 15 MINUTES! And it was still shutting down!
What can I do? I'm so sick of having to force shut it down whenever it reboots/shuts down.
Help. Please.
