Hi all.
I have a mac mini in the basement that has all the TimeMachine and iTunes/iPhoto responsibilities for all Macs in the house. The iMac and Mini and connected through a 1000mbit switch and that switch is plugged into my Airport extreme which provides my MBP with connectivity.
I have two FW 800 drives on the mini that hold all the data. Those drives are mounted via AFP in the finders on both the MPB and iMac. When I wake the MBP from sleep it never has an issue reconnecting to the remote mini drives.
However, the iMac, more times that not, I get an error message that pops up telling me that the iMac can't mount the drives propoerly and asks me to disconnect. If I disconnect all and then go back and mount the drives manually, everything is fine.
What I'm trying to figure out is why it works just fine on the MBP (which is wireless) and the iMac (hardwired) is having issues. Is there a preferred way to keep these volumes mounted properly after wake? It's just annoying, is all.
Thanks.
