iMac or 17" Powerbook

Alrite I'm ready to get an apple finally. My friends have a network of them and i just cant get over the fact of how much better osx is than windows. I really like the 17" imacs they have 2 of em. TGoday they just got their 17" powerbook. BEAUTIFUL. thats the only word to descirbe it. THere is quite a price difference between the 2. Which one would you guys get and for what reasons.

If you want to save money, then go with the iMac. They're very beautiful. But, if you want to be able to take your computer to their houses easily, then I would go with the Powerbook. As SBG88 mentioned, if $ isn't a motive, then go with the Powerbook. But, for that matter, if $ isn't a motive, get both! Hope this helped.

If money REALLY isn't an issue, get a low-end tower with an iBook. Then you have great performance AND portability.

Other than that, it's hard to recommend without knowing what kind of user you are... Gamer, DTP, basic surfer? Give us more info to work with.
