OK so I have about 2000 to spend on a new mac. For awhile I was thinking about getting a mini and making into a media center since my wife and I watch most of our TV shows on my MBP. With the mini I was also going to get a 23 inch cinema display for my MBP. But I got to looking at the iMacs today and was thinking about just getting a 24 inch 2.4Ghz. Now I am kind of up in the air about which one to get. Any help on a decision would be very appreciated.

iMac or Mac Mini media center + 23 inch cinema display for MBP

I have an EyeTV Hybrid and have put a bunch of stuff into my iTunes library on my 24 inch iMac and I love it. Also play my game consoles on it. Works great. (Get an external for your media though.)
Well if I got the mac mini it would be the mini hook up to my cable box through eyetv then the mini hooked up to the television. the mini would have a 1TB external hard drive hooked up to it for all the media. Then I would have my current MBP(2.0GHz CD, 2GB Ram, ATI X1600 128MB)hooked up to the cinema display in another room.
Or just have the new iMac where I would use the cinema display and MBP.
