Hi!

Hoping there might be some audiophiles here... I am planning on getting a setup geared towards sample-based music production and recording. The basic dilemma is, investing in a 27" iMac will easier on the wallet in the short run, but the Mac Pro is of course far more flexible. So I am hoping someone here has some experience and/ or an opinion on which is the more sensible investment overall.

I'm set on the mac because of logic pro and digital performer, for starters.

Thinking I should wait to see what the Mac Pro refresh looks like first.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Not an audiophile but the consensus is that new MP are a long way off.

Why not go for a used MP. There are many available sometimes from music production types.

You'll save a packet and can resell for little loss.
