Imac or Mac Pro?

I'm planning in the near future, probably after Leopard ships, to buy my first Mac.
I typically use my computer for creating documents on office. Using the internet and light gaming. (typically chess, poker, sims 2, and simcity.) I also occasionally edit movies and photos.
I have heard that the imac is not good for gaming, but am I right in assuming that it would be able to handle what I would ask of it?

I really don't want to have to go to the mac pro, but would be disatisfied with a computer that did not do what I wanted it to do.

The iMac seems to be for you, the Mac Pro is overkill

Brilliant. Thanks for answering. I don't have to wait as long to get a new computer then. I would have been a while before I could afford the Mac Pro.
Am I right in assuming that the Mac Mini would not be up to the task? Though to be fair I'd probably buy the imac anyway.
