I have a bit of a dilema. I currently have a MBP and now need a setup for the family to use. I was going to buy an iMac 20" 2.4 320Gb and max out the RAM from Crucial. However, I was thinking that a 20" cinema display would be the perfect companion for my MBP (which is used for CAD when I need to work at home) to give me some additional desktop space.
So I was thinking I could get the ACD and a Macbook (again max out the RAM from Crucial) with a wireless keyboard and mouse
or
I could buy the iMac and an ACD for almost the same price as the MB, ACD and Mouse / Keyboard. Question is, would I be better to use the iMac when I need to work from home and forget about the ACD and save myself £400?
Any advice greatly appreciated.
