Imac or SR Macbook

I am really torn between a new 20inch imac 2.0 or a new white sr macbook 2.2 . What would be a good companion to the ultraportable coming in January? I am not a gamer.

so are you looking for a desktop or something mobile, i guess i don't understand what your looking for

don't even know for sure what the ultraportable has or if it's ever coming out

I think it's obvious. Why buy one notebook now, and an ultra-portable one later? Imacs are faster because they use 7200 rpm drives, which would definitely make up for the extra .2 Ghz where disk access is concerned. Other than that, the screen on the imac is larger and contains ~72% more pixels. They rarely get hot (usually while playing games), and are dead silent. Also, from a more subjective point of view, they're really cool .

But I chose an Imac over a Macbook a little while ago too, so I'm bound to be a little biased. Good luck making the obvious choice!
