I'm on an imac osx version 10.8.2 with an Airport router that I installed about 4 months ago. Since that time and ever since the install, the mac will not recognize the network, and always after a reboot, and sometimes after a hibernation, will fail to connect to the established preferred network. As soon as I search for networks, of course it finds the networks (and others) and I can connect with a simple click. I almost wouldn't care, but when trying to connect from a remote connection this is a deal killer! I've deleted all "preferred" networks except my own home network, but still no joy. I've searched this and other forums and see I'm not alone. I have bluetooth enabled, but no devices connected to it and I didn't want to delete the bluetooth service as that seemed a bit rad. What's my next move?!
