So.. I have to move overseas and I want bring with my my brand new 27" iMac.
If I ship it with fedex or whatever I think it will cost a lot and at this point I can just sell it and buy it again.

I will travel with alitalia and the idea of sending it as checked in baggage scares me.

I found like a bag for imac (200$), but I'll already have 2 checked in baggage and a hand bag. How can I solve it?

I understand your concern. If you pack it well and put it in the "fragile" hold, it should be fine though. The only thing is that you might have to pay for excess luggage if you go over the weight limit.

I would go with the "fragile" hold solution.

Assuming the "bag" you found is the $200 iLugger... then it is not recommended as checked luggage.

I have one that I use for transporting my TBD to/from our beach condo... and it works great for car travel... but do not risk using it as checked luggage.

Your best bet would be the original shipping box.
