Hey guys,

I have a 27" iMac 12,2 (mid 2011), and ever since I bought it I noticed a weird thing that happens whenever I preview my video files with the spacebar. Weird pinkish lines start flashing on the video and then my desktop goes all pixelated. All icons go green and pixelated and the dock gets grainy. Can anyone help me diagnose the problem and solution? I'd really appreciate it.

I attached a picture so you can see what I'm talking about.

Thank you :)

My guess would have been a video chip issue, however, those usually can't be captured via screenshot like you have shown.

It sounds unrelated, but have you tried a permissions repair, or verify you have enough swap / virtual memory space on your boot drive?

Both of which have caused strange phenomenon for me in the past.
