I dont know to much. Was wondering on how to upgrade an Imac i just got. It has a power pc g3, speed: 233 mhz, mac os 8.6, built in memory: 96 mb, virutal memory: 97mb. Any info would be great. I can get online but is very mmm primitive and i dont understand most of it. any help would be awesome.

IF you don't mind spending some $$, time and effort on an antique computer, then the most you could do would be:

A) Max da ram to either 384 (1x 256 + 1x 128) or 512mb (2x 256) depending on which revision machine you have (A or B)
B) Replace the stock HD with a newer, faster, bigger one
C) Move up to OS 9.2.2

All of these would add a significant performance increases, but with the money you would spend on these upgrades + a little more, you could probably find a more recent, more up to date machine that would give you even better performance though.

The best upgrade for that machine would be to the curb or to the Salvation Army.

Its just too old to do much with.
