I recently got an iMac Pro for work, and I am using a 2nd monitor (Dell 24") connected via HDMI using the Apply Display adaptor. I am having an issue where my 2nd monitor will go to sleep and then I am unable to wake it up.

Is there a setting that I am missing? Anyone else have this issue?

[doublepost=1519795029][/doublepost]I've experienced this in different ways. Usually turning the 2nd screen off, then on again, seems to bring it back.

I've heard mixed reviews of the Apple USB-C to HDMI adapter, and this is one of the symptoms I've read about.

You might consider the new Moshi adapter that's outfitted with 'high-end' circuitry. I've bought a couple and they seem to work well. For me, the Apple version worked seemingly just fine, but I did have them in use for a live stage show that had glitches, and decided to try the Moshi unit in case the Apple adapter was the source of the problem.

I had similar problems with a Dell monitor on a 5k iMac. The monitor would sometimes sleep and then not wake up unless unplugged and plugged back in. I changed a setting with the monitor's on-screen menus and haven't had a problem since (over a year). I believe it was disabling the "monitor sleep" setting.
