Of course it'll be a while before this trickles down to the rest of the lineup, but no doubt the Mac Pro will have something similar.

Just depends if it ever becomes non optional.
They continue to make all of these sorts of things optional to enable on macOS.

I could envision there being features that might become unusable on non Apple hardware in that future though. Perhaps built in FaceID types of things. I think that's the sort of thing they are laying the ground work for on macOS.

Very likely Apple can kill Hackintosh's at it's leisure, the moment Apple see's this as a point of revenue they will pull the trigger...
