iMac quadcore, blue screen

I have, I think, a problem with my i7 iMac. When I shut it down it happens a lot that I just get a blue screen and at that moment I can't do anything with it.

Sometimes it also happens when I start the iMac up, but almost always when I shut it down.

I have a Time Capsule that makes back-ups, does it have anything to do with that?
