I remember when the latest refresh came out, some people complained that the Geforce video card wasn't good and for programs like Final Cut Pro or After Effects, the older ATI 2600 was better because it had matured drivers and was better at 'core animations' (not sure what core animation is). I guess the geforce, at the time of the refresh, was still very new and buggy.

I was just wondering if this was still the case or if new drivers have finally put the geforce 8800 card past the ATI 2600, in performance.

Also, did I even get the scenario right? If not, please correct me.
