My power went out for a few seconds this morning and my new iMac (less than two months old) was on at the time. After waiting a while, I tried to power it back on. It went through the Apple "loading" page (which took much longer than usual, considering this whole process used to take around 10 seconds) than it sat for a frightening amount of time at the "blue page" before finally prompting for my password.

Then I tried to do a healthy restart. It began the process, but stopped and all that was visible was my pointer and background. I had to force restart it and it did the same thing again when booting up.

What is going on? Is there anything I can do?
