if this was a 1.0 TB Fusion Drive, I also would have taken out the 32 GB NVMe SSD. on the other hand, I for sure would replace it with a bigger PCIe SSD of course...
To me, the whole flip of MoBo was just a waste of effort. I would have inserted RAM via the door.
The SATA drive can be swapped without touching MoBo.
I think I would even build a fusion drive from fast (NVMe) and slow (SATA) hard drives.
The zip tie of the SATA SSD is pretty
much unforgivable...and if I am pulling out the logic board, new thermal paste is getting applied alongside a new NVMe SSD blade.
