oUT OF FRUSTRATION i CAME UP WITH THIS....

When is time not time?
When it's being counted on an iMac.

My iMac has been about 'a minute left' onmigration assistant for several hours!

What's up with that Apple?

Ive seen this when migrating. I left it overnight and it was resolved by morning. "Progress Bars" are notably inaccurate.

Thanks for that!
That indeed is where a problem is. When trying Migration Asst it just says 'Starting Up;. Letting it go all night it's still the same in the morning.
I can't tell if it's a corrupted file somewhere or what. And I know of no way to interrupt it restarting overtime I try to break free. Used to be an interrupt button, not now. It's a vicious cycle!

Attempted to use CCC, but the computer just hung on startup.

Thinking I had re-installed Yosemite, I found there was only about 400MB used.THAT can't be right. Gong bald over this.
Help!
