imac screen colours are way over-saturated?

Hello, it doesnt seem to be only a slight problem, its more like I can hardly see anything as the screen colours are all way over saturated. I suspect it is perhaps one of those keyboard shortcuts such as "cntrl, alt, cmd, 8" to make the colours of the screen turn negative, except this one oversaturates everything. Any help is much appreciated, thanks.

well if u press that combo it will invert your screen. is that what it looks like? if not then try lowering contrast and make it brighter in the settings. see if that helps

hmmm, still doesn't work. I don't actually know where to find the brightness and contrast settings, as they aren't in the system preferences. I tried screen calibration as well but no luck!

its ok, solved the problem! it was under the universal access area of system preferences.
