My G4 iMac flatscreen inverter died. Someone gave me a 15" flatscreen Apple Studio Display (grey plastic with lines on border with plastic stand). I believe it has an ADC plug?
I was told today by the local mac store that my iMac uses a mini VGA plug and there is NO WAY I CAN CONNECT that STUDIO DISPLAY.
He then told me it woudl cost $130 for a new inverter to be installed (1hr. + parts.)
My questions:
1. Is there really NO WAY I can connect that display?
2. Is $130 a decent price for the inverter installation? (could I install/relace it myself?)
3. If I bought a cheapo 15" flatscreen to connect to it could it be done stock or would I be looking at an adapter? (Right now I am borrowing a neighbors old CRT using a VGA mini adapter to reg. VGA.)
Thanks!
