When working on my iMac, randomly, my iMac screen goes gray (it fades from top of the screen to the bottom, locks me out and the message asks me to hold the power button down and reboot. It's a mid-2010 iMac. Any suggestions to make this stop??

That's a kernel panic try doing all the resets and it that doesn't fix it, call apple care

If that happens often, take it to apple, as kernel panics like that can be signs of bad hardware.
