So on my iMac 5K after I put the Mac to sleep, the screen will sometimes just randomly turn on, and then just stay on forever. It could be that I go to bed around 11, and the screen turns on at some point during the night and it will just stay on all night, for hours and hours. It never goes back to sleep at that point and the screen never dims.

I've tried a lot of stuff already
  • Reinstalled MacOS
  • NVRAM / PRAM reset
  • SMC Reset
  • Turned off notifications
  • Checked energy saving settings
  • Disable wake for network access
I just can't figure out what's causing it. Anybody have some advice?

Did you try an SMC reset? Resetting the SMC sometimes will cure sleep/wake problems. My 2017 27" iMac 5K will occasionally do the same thing but I have determined that it's usually caused by the App store updating apps during the night. Also have you turned off "Wake for network access"? Last resort... shut down the machine when you go to sleep.

I have tried those things, but thanks for the suggestions. I updated the list from the first post too :)

You could just shut it down and night, and restart in the morning.
Takes only a few seconds and it will NEVER bother you that way... ;)

Do you have Bluetooth or USB devices, such as a wireless mouse, attached? If so try turning the mouse off over night as it might be sending commands to the Mac that causes it to wake up and stay awake.
