Ok, so I've had my newly refurbished iMac G4 for 2 days now and each day its seem to run into an identical problem.
First overnight I put my iMac in sleep mode, then the next morning when i tried to wake it, it woke, but the screen wouldn't turn on, it just flickered grey for a second. I called apple and they said to reset PRAM by doing the P+R+option+apple key at bootup, and that got the screen working again.
So now the next night I just turn my iMac off, and this morning when I turned it on, the screen isn't working again. So I turn it off again and try reseting the PRAM again and well now the screen works again.
I absolutely hate doing this everyday. Does anyone maybe have an idea what is causing this? Only thing I added on was some crucial ram which seems to work perfectly, so Im not sure if its the culprit or not.
Im going to try testing the ram but I guess it will take a few days, leave it in a few more days and keep seeing if the screen keeps not working, and then a few days on top of that with the crucial ram out and see what happens.
So if anyone has any clue about this, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks
