Hey everyone,

last time i considered a mac purchase was back in 2010. When i read however, that the iMac screens aren't wide gamut and only display 72% color gamut - CIE 1931 standard - (not to mention they couldn't even display Adobe RGB), i was scared off and purchased a PC setup instead.

My primary fields of work are:

* Illustration & Concept design (a good screen is vital here, naturally)
* Photography/reference photography (also important)
* Marketing/Copywriting & Writing (irrelevant, more or less)

I'm very picky about screens and color accuracy. I've returned Dells due to color tinting and i'm -fairly- happy with my old NEC-screen at the moment, though i'm desiring something a little more spacious.

Hence i'm currently looking at two possibilities.

* A new PC setup coupled with a Multisync or even spectraview NEC (though spectraview is probably a bit overkill at the moment)

* One of the new 2012/2013 Imacs with a 27" display.

However, other than the fact that it's no longer as "glary", i can't really find any information on the gamut and color accuracy information of the display. Has it changed since 2010, or is it still the same baseline consumer model where as a professional, you should buy a different screen instead?

Thanks in advance for any response ^^.
