imac screensaver doesn't work

I have the new 21.5 imac. All works fine but the screensaver. I have it set to start 15 minutes of no play. But instead of the screensaver going up, the computer just goes to sleep. Is there any way to fix this issue?

Perhaps you set the computer to go to sleep at precisely the same time the screensaver would come on? If so, in System Preferences, go to Energy Saver and set the computer to go to sleep after 20 minutes of inactivity or any other amount of time longer than 15 minutes.
