iMac SD card problem

So I have been having some trouble today reading my SD card using my iMac. I have the mid 2010 model and I am using an 8gb Sandisk SD card. It was working fine yesterday, I was able to read the SD card and import things. But, today for some reason, it is just not working. I tried restarting the computer as well as resetting the PRAM, and still nothing worked. I even tried using an external card reader, but that didn't work either. I tried it on another computer and it read the SD card just fine. So any help would be appreciated.
