iMac shipping from Ireland?

I have just looked at my UPS tracking number on the website, it says my iMacs last location was in Ireland at UPS Ireland in Cork.

I always thought they shipped from China? Any thoughts on this?

The 'origin scan' and last location was in cork, ireland

Mine is BTO as well, so not all BTO ship from china
 
Well mines BTO as well and I ordered with 30 minutes of the store coming up yesterday. They say it will be delivered anytime from this Friday to next Tuesday. But as of yet it still hasn't shipped.

Same I ordered about 10 mins after release, mine has been shipped though and the estimated delivery is friday
 
Mine hasn't been shipped either - ordered within the first 10min of the release. I live in Denmark. Will update when it ships and when it actually arrives.
 
My BTO is now prepared to ship hope it's coming from Ireland and not China could be here Friday then hopefully :)
 
Also waiting for a bto imac. Estimated to arrive next wednesday....i've had enough of waiting:(

has it changed to prepared to sip yet. My BTO is also due on Wed 11th but tonight between 5pm and the end of the United game it changed to prepared for shipment. Could it be on a van from Cork tomorrow?? no ferry's needed as i'm in Northern Ireland

Awesome i'm in the wonderful North of Ireland too, just ordered my BTO this morning... it saying it will ship in 3 days.... and delivery on the 16th... I am guessing it will be from China!

Tracked it on UPS and it was Departure Scanned today. But apple has changed my delivery date from Wed 11th to Fri 13th:(. Can't understand why when it was shipped earlier than expected.

Live in Sweden by the way, maybe the trip is long and bumpy!?

Hopefully it works out for you. In my experience, UPS usually gives a much larger estimate than they need. Countless times I have received stuff from them before schedule. FedEx on the other hand sticks pretty close to their dates (and sometimes even times).

I have the exact opposite experience. Here UPS will deliver exactly on the date they are supposed to. Even if my package is sitting here in town for 2 days.

Fedex on the other will deliver my package as soon as it's in town even if it's early.

I think it all depends on where you live and the shipping centers. Seems it can vary wildly.

my iMac has been sitting in the warehouse for a day now and is scheduled to be delivered by UPS tomorrow, it just has 'origin scan' on the tracking details, maybe it will be late, it is looking like it.
 
mine is really confusing me. It has gone from Cork -> Dublin -> Koeln Germany :O wtf I'm on the island of Ireland this makes no sense!!!!

Mine – coming to the UK mainland – just did the same. UPS tracking still says it should arrive tomorrow, but that seems rather optimistic.

it could still arive tomorrow, when i ordered my macbook pro it came from china, it got to Koeln Germany the night before it came, by the morning it was out for delivery

dont understand why your order which was shipped 1 day after mine is making progress and mine has been in Cork Ireland for 1.5 days

I paid extra for express, pre-noon delivery; that might account for the difference. Still, it would be pretty rubbish for UPS to delay your shipment just because you didn't pay extra.
