imac - should I wait ?

Hi,

I am looking at getting the late 2013, i7, 16gb, 3tb fusion, gtx780m iMac at a good price with applecare. It's 2nd hand but just few weeks old. Should I take the plunge (as I don't want to buy the retina version and pay more) or is there going to be imminent spec bump/upgrade of the regular iMac's ?

Will apple keep the 27" line with the current Nvidia chips or will they put AMD ones or perhaps 9xx version of latest nvidia's chips ?

I'm perfectly happy with my late 2012 27", 3.4GHz i7, 8GB RAM, GeForce 680MX with 2MB.

My screen is super sharp and have no desire to upgrade for retina. My graphics are more than adequate for gaming and general usage. So far, no need to upgrade RAM either.

Go for the refurbished.

I'd like to know if there will be a spec bump or change to AMDs GPUs or they will keep the specs they are now ?

Your guess is as good as mine.

If we would see a bump to the non retina imacs, I like to believe it would have been announced at yesterdays event.

My thoughts are that any future changes to the iMac may be a year from now.
But thats me.

Buy whats right for you and your budget.
