My 3 year old iMac, (3.06 Ghz, Intel Core 2 Duo, 12 GB Ram, OS X 10.8.2, Internet Provider AT&T) is noticeably slowing down, when it comes to loading web pages. Is there anything I can do to speed it up, as it was when I bought it?

My 2008 iMac is slowing down, too. I'm planning to double the RAM to 4 GB.

BTW, are you a ham? If so, PM me. 73.

Is it just when loading webpages?

If so reset safari if that is your browser. Under Safari menu click reset Safari.

Also how full is your hard drive?

If your hard drive is getting full, that could slow things down. At 3 years, you have to start questioning the health of the hard drive as well. If you are doing the same things now that you were when you started using the Mac, more RAM may not help.

I'm using Firefox, and my HDD has lots of room left.
It doesn't seem to be a HDD problem, starting programs without delay, its just loading websites. Seems to take forever.
