iMac sounds so much louder in 10.4.9

Even only with first volume bar, it sounds like 10 times louder than before. This can be a problem when i want to use my computer silently specially at night.
This happens to my iMac core 2 duo.

Is there anybody experiencing this ?

from what other people have said in the other 10.4.9 threads around here it seems that it has happened to about everybody. if you need to listen to it quietly use headphones.
 
I'm not noticing any differences in sound, but maybe it's just b/c I've got Macbook speakers going. I haven't tried with headphones yet b/c I've been at home all day moving around.

Also my MacBook sounds more crisp and clear (more refreshing and ambient).

It made me able to communicate with my horse, boosted my personal income by 25% overnight, enhanced the lighting in my dining room, and I believe helped my 5 year old score a 162 IQ test, and influenced my wife to cook my favorite meals this week, but that's just my opinion... :rolleyes:

You missed it....clearly when a palm rest changes colour it is a physical cosmetic problem. I don't care how good the apple engineers are, no software update can fix it. Even resetting the PRAM didn't fix it.:confused: :confused:

I guess you are right. I can use a headphone. Besides, it is not a big deal.
Plus, I do feel the whole user interface is snappier in 10.4.9

It's true. Food tastes better now. My friend's 15/30 vision is now 20/20. My car even changed it's own oil.
