If I buy a refurb 2011 iMac, can I have an Apple store or Apple Cert store install an SSD?

If so, what is the average cost usually? If this better than doing the BTO w/ SSD?

Some places will and some place will NOT install SSD inside iMacs. Each store is different. As a suggestion, use Google Search to find a few Apple stores in your UT region, then give them a call. Each will provide a YES/NO and if YES, their install costs. Thus, allowing you to price compare as well. And when chatting with each store directly, you can ask them interactive questions as well. For example, their After Work warranty time period, their recommended SSDs / special Y-Splitter cables, etc. etc.

For list of Apple stores in your UT region, surf:

Hope this helps...
