imac suddenly turned off

I'm on a pretty new (few months old) imac 20". I was working in dreamweaver, word, & firefox actively (though had a number of CS programs open), and my imac turned off like I had suddenly unplugged it. Of course, I did not, and everything else I have in the same surge protector didn't even falter.

Any ideas on why it suddenly turned off?
