I recently updated OS X to the newest version of 10.6 (I forgot what number it is) and since then my iMac takes ages to go to sleep. When I put it to sleep (via the apple menu > sleep) then the screen turns black immediately but I still see my cursor. Then after many seconds (never counted, but at least 30 seconds), the screen turns off and the insides stop humming. What could be the problem?

I was suffering this for a while. I went through, cleared the desktop emptied the safari cache etc and it is fine now.
