Hey, i have had the new 21.5" iMac for over 2 weeks now and have not found a hardrive for time machine backup.
One i dont know what to be looking for.
I am not willing to spend over 90-100£ on it.
I have found these two, can any reccomend any from the two or any others?
When referring to the hardrives can you refer to this one as 1:
item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=110982392612&siteId=3&isClassified=false

And this one as 2:
www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0084LZI9U/ref=redir_mdp_mobile?creative=22206&creativeASIN=B0084LZI9U&linkCode=asn&ref_=asc_df_B0084LZI9U11067801&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&tag=googlecouk06-21

I have the 1TB iMac.
And on my harddrive i have lots of valuable courseworks and a few games of course so i dont want t coursework to go missing.

I would really appreciate your input.

You need a USB 3.0 drive.

I'd look at something like this

http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/Shop/ShopDetail.asp?ProductID=14852

Western Digital are pretty good in my experience. I have two of their HD's, both have been faultless.

Broadbandbuyer are an excellent site with very good customer service.

1TB might not be enough though depending how much data you have now. My main hard drive has 1TB of data which with multiple Time Machine back up's is about 1.75 TB on my back up drive.

The harddrives i put are USB 3.0 aswell i think, so are you reccomending i buy more than my actual internal storage my mac has come with (1tb)
