On my local craigslist I found a listing for a late-2006 24 inch iMac. It has a 2.16GHz Core 2 Duo, 2GB of RAM, Nvidia Geforce 7300GT 128Mb, and OS X 10.7.5. The guy wants $200 for it, and is including the original keyboard, mouse, and box. I realize it's a 7 year old computer. It would be a secondary computer, as I have a 2012 MBP. Can this computer handle HD youtube (720p)? Can I play minecraft on it decently? Should I get it or stay away from it?

I had 10.7 on a late 2009 MacBook and it ran so slow. I downgraded to SL and gave it to a friend.

I wouldn't buy it.

What I can tell you is that I have a Mac Mini Early 2009 (core2duo 2.0) and it can play 1080p youtube (not higher... as 1440p and original).

As far as Minecraft... I don't really think so, or maybe but with very low graphics...

Mine has a diff gpu still...
Chipset Model: NVIDIA GeForce 9400
Type: GPU
Bus: PCI
VRAM (Total): 256 MB

Maybe that one is better.

Checking by the model number and VRAM I don't think so... so I would skip that...

You will need more RAM on it Processor might be ok to run Minecraft but Minecraft needs 4GB+ to run smoothly. I did run it on a C2D MacBook Pro before, similar specs but 8GB of RAM.
