I would like to access my work iMac's desktop and apps at home via my PC (which hopefully can work smoothly given my PC's age). I gather this can be done via some kind of screensharing app. However, my iMac at work is in an open office environment and ideally I don't need other people there to be able to see/hear what I'm doing on screen, as usually happens with Mac to Mac screensharing.

Is there an app available that allows me to share my iMac's screen while essentially leaving the computer asleep with the screen black and the sound muted?
