can anyone tell me if it is possible to connect imac to playstation 3 using bluetooth

if anybody knows how could you please talk me through it step by step.

thank you

Connect to do what? Transfer media files, control media files, or are you trying to use the keyboard/mouse, or something else? The answer (or whether it's even possible) will depend on which.

I doubt bluetooth would have a good transfer rate for streaming files other than pictures.

I don't think you can connect through bluetooth. And even if you did, it would be pretty slow to transfer files like music and movies. If you want to transfer files from the iMac, check out MediaLink. Best $20 bucks I've ever spent.

i got just medialink and i'm having problems setting it up, can someone talk me through it please

just open the prefpane for it on your mac and click "start"

then turn on your ps3 (assuming it's connected to the network) and "search for media servers" in the music/videos/photos menus on your ps3 home screen.

if your ps3 is not connected to your network, you cannot use medialink :)
