Imac to Sony Tv via Hdmi, How to put imac screen to sleep and just watch sony

Hello

I have an imac 21.5 new model and a sony bravia tv.

i have successfully connected the bravia to the mac via a miniport hdmi adaptor.

i can watch anything on the sony screen, my question is:-

How do i put the mac screen to sleep and keep the sony tv playing?


I fluked the display preferences and arrangements once and managed to watch a film on the sony from the imac , whilst the imac screen put itself to sleep, i cant remember how i did it.
