Hi all,
is it possible to wirelessly connect a TV to an iMac? I'm in Ireland so I need a solution that will work for PAL television sets.

The computer and the TV are in the same room but I don't want to run any new cables.

Thanks for any advise!

Well.... That depends on loads of things:

1) what does your computer have for wireless (bluetooth, wi-fi, ???)
2) what you want them to talk to each other about (do you want to just control the channels or do you want to send a dvd signal?
3) how old your TV is and/or what kind of inputs it has.

Once you've got that worked out, you can see what's available to patch into the TV itself.

I am getting my brand new 20" iMac today so it has all the gadgets i.e. bluetooth and wifi. I'm just hoping to use the TV to watch movies playing on the mac really, no need to control anything. The TV is about 5 years old and has scart and sVideo inputs.

Thanks,
Erick.

Brilliant - that's exactly what I had in mind! And my birthday is coming up pretty soon...

Thanks!
