Imac top processor vs Gulftown 980?

Hi guys

I currently have a PC system with the Intel "Gulftown" 980xtreme processor (hexacore i7, 3.33 Ghz).

Does anybody know how the fastest iMac 2011 processor (quadcore i7, 3.4 gHz i believe) stacks up against this? Far slower..? A little slower?

The i7 is much better than the 980X core vs core, however, if the app uses all cores the 980 will probably come out on top most of the time.
