I plugged an external Hard drive into my IMAC and it started to smoke and the imac turned off. Now the imac shows no signs of power. I took it apart and i see the motherboard gets a green light when power is connect but when i fully took the motherboard out. A USB port has a burn where it appears to have super tiny fuses between the connectors and fuse (if thats what it is) popped.

Does this mean i can some how replace that fuse or is it a whole motherboard?

thanks in advanced.

Its a 2011 27" Imac i7

Okay so everyone (other forums) has informed me that i need a new logic board. I brought it into a local APPLE / PC repair shop to see what their thoughts were. They told me they believe they can fix it. If they fix it, its $99. If not its free. I will update this when i get my logic board back on Monday. Thanks for any advice.
