Tried bringing up a 2 minute QuickTime Tutorial on Apple's site with my new iMac set up connecting to the Net with a Dial-Up Modem.

However, after the video very slowly loaded it would stop after the initial few seconds of a start-up.

Does this mean it is impossible to view Web videos using a Dial-Up Modem?

If possible what steps should I follow to correct this issue?

Re: Faster Connection Internet Service w/iMac

So would DSL be the most economical type of service? Does it matter which one you select for it to perform well with a Mac vs. IBM PC?

Any suggestions as to which one would keep costs down yet be able to play all types of videos? Where to search on the Internet? Just to surf in general via GOOGLE?
