recently I have been having sound issues with my iMac. playing music and YouTube videos causes the Mac to play at normal volume which is good. Then over a few minutes the volume will slowly decrease. Causing me to restart my Mac to restore normal volume.
What I have done is:
reset NVRAM thinking it could be that.
reset SMC thinking it could be that as well.
I have also cleaned the headphone plug and also made sure that there is no dust in the headphone jack.
I also ran Apple Hardware tests and that all came back without any errors.
I also performed a reinstall and restore my time machine backup.
I am thinking that it could be a bug within the OS software.
I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing this as well. I am also thinking of downgrading back to Mojave.
Welcome any thoughts and other ways to sort the problem out.
