iMac vs Mac Minip

I need some feedback and recommendations please. I have $2000 credit with Mac Mall. I'm trying to decide between the 27" thunderbolt display (cause is has ISP. Paired with a New Mini or to just get a new iMac 21.5 loaded. Basically get the best for my money. Trying to decide if it's better to get all in one or separate components. All feedback greatly appreciated.
