iMac wakes from sleep, asks to reinstall OS X

Twice today when I have come back to my Mac and wakened it from sleep, the OSX installer is asking to reinstall OSX! A bit spooky. Anyone else had this? I put in an SSD about a month ago, but this is the first time it has happened.
