Hey guys,
Left my 27' iMac on overnight. The screen went to sleep, but the rest of the computer stays active.
Woke up this morning hearing a high pitched noise coming from the machine with a faint clicking/popping noise. It did not respond to wired-keyboard or magic mouse input. Powering the computer down and back up again fixed the problem. Anyone wanna tell me what that could have been though? This iMac is on the recall list for the seagate drive. I was hoping to hold out till the drive failed before getting it replaced cause it's inconvenient to bring this machine to the store.
Thanks for any information or advice you can give.
