The newest mobile chip from intel looks promising, but I don't really know when we will see it. Maybe in the next revision of the iMac.

Is it worth the wait do you think?
Im selling my pc off, and was going to get a top Imac, but i'd hate to spend £1400 right now and a few months later, quads are out.
I guess i could always 'live out of' my MBP + external HDD's, but that badly needs a format.

This is my pc's spec (about 1 month old now):
E8400 @ 3.6 - 8GB OCZ DDR2 PC6400 Reaper HPC
Asus Maximus Formula - 2x 3870 XT Extreme Crossfire
BFG Ageia PhysX - 4x 500GB Seagate HDD -
Gigabyte ODIN GT 800W PSU - Zalman HD160+

That's one hell of a rig. What makes you want to sell it? The iMac would be quite a bit of a downgrade in your case.

They just updated the iMacs last week...

so you are going to be waiting anywhere from 7 to 14 months minimum. I would suggest getting the top line model that just came out. If you decide to wait for the next release, it's not going to be next week or next month and certainly not at WWDC. Good luck.:)
