I tried to search the forums for an answer to this but I can't find one. I do have Apple Care so maybe I will need to make an appointment for some tutoring.

Issue:
I made a windows partition with Bootcamp on my iMac so I could play EQ. From what I can tell Everquest is installed on this drive but in ProgramData which I do not have access to. I have tried to find the path but all I can see are the Program Files. According to what I can see from the install path all of my Everquest files are in a folder called ProgramData but I have no access to it whatsoever. I want to install EQ maps but to do so I need to extract the map files to the maps folder in the Everquest file, obviously I can't do this because I can't even find the EQ or SOE file.

I am completely new to this and Macs in general. I've been trying to learn through trial and error and reading forums, watching tutorials etc. but I can't figure this out. It seems like everything is almost reset each time I leave the Windows partition and return to my mac OS and then come back to windows.

Any help with this would be appreciated. I'm not sure exactly how to explain it or what details to give so if more info is needed let me know.

Thanks in advance, really frustrated >_<

The ProgramData folder is located on the root of the C: drive but it's hidden by default.

To view it, go into the Control Panel > Folder Options > View tab and check 'Show hidden files, folders and drives'. Once enabled, all folders that are enabled will appear as a translucent folder.

You can hide and unhide folder by going into the properties of a file or folder and check/uncheck the Hidden checkbox.

Note that if you know the full path you can just use the Start Menu's search function to get there even if it remains hidden. Try Start -> Search -> C:\programdata and it'll open up just fine.

Awesome! That was simple, I probably should've thought of that. I did use the search bar before but to search for the actual game and never got results. Anyway, thank you for the assistance. Easy fix, much appreciated =)
